Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect only what we need to migrate your website and stay in touch, we never sell your data, and your site's code lives in your Git repository — not ours.
Who we are
Ditch Plugins ("we", "us") is a two-person service that migrates websites from WordPress to Astro. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit ditchplugins.com or work with us, and what we do with it.
What we collect
Contact details you give us — your name, email address, and anything you include when you book a call or write to us.
Assets and content you send us for the migration — images, fonts, video, and copy. These may contain personal data (e.g. photos or author names); we treat everything you send as confidential and use it only for your migration.
Basic usage data — anonymous, aggregate analytics about how this site is used. We don't use advertising trackers or sell data to anyone.
How we use it
To migrate your website, to communicate with you about the project, to honor the 3-month warranty, and to improve this site. That's the whole list. We don't send marketing emails you didn't ask for.
Third-party services
We rely on a small set of processors: Calendly (call scheduling), GitHub (your repository — created and owned by you), our hosting provider (serving this site), and email. Each receives only the data needed to do its job, under its own privacy terms.
Where your site's code lives
In your own GitHub repository, from day one. We work in it with access you grant and you can revoke that access at any time. We keep a working copy only for the duration of the migration and the warranty period, then delete it.
How long we keep data
Project files and assets you send us: for the migration plus the 3-month warranty, then deleted. Email correspondence: as long as needed for support and legal obligations. Analytics: aggregate only, indefinitely.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we'll do it — no forms, no runaround. Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/EEA under GDPR, or California under CCPA), these rights are also guaranteed by law.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes affecting an active project, we'll email you directly.
